Hirotec awarded AGAL building maintenance
services contract
The Australian Government Analytical Laboratories
(AGAL) have awarded Hirotec the building maintenance
services contract for facilities in New South Wales
and Victoria.
AGAL is the Australian Government's principal
agency for the provision of analytical services in chemistry,
microbiology, materials and building science.
According to Paul Sicari, a Director of
Hirotec, the tender process was quite extensive and
saw Hirotec competing against multinational corporations.
“Hirotec’s submission was well planned by
the tender delivery team, specifically Kevin King (National
Services & Facilities Manager),” he said.
“This is an exciting contract for Hirotec as it
further broadens our facilities maintenance contract
portfolio.”
Contracted services include:
- Air Conditioning and mechanical
ventilation including all plant, refrigeration and
water treatment
- Plumbing
- Electrical, including switchboards,
fire systems and emergency lighting and evacuation
systems (EWIS)
- Carpentry
- Passenger and goods lifts
- Fume Cupboards
- Commercial and Laboratory refrigeration
